The inaugural MoveMe dance festival celebrates an exciting time for dance in Western Australia.

STRUT joins Ausdance WA to present the festival, offering a feast of performances, forums, showings and workshops as well as the prestigious Australian Dance Awards in Perth for the very first time.

In an exclusive Australian performance Jonathan Burrows & Matteo Fargion will open the MoveMe dance festival at Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts (PICA) with Cheap Lecture and The Cow Piece.

The Australian Premier of Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui's Faun on a double bill with Didier Théron's Harakiri at Heath Ledger Theatre over two nights will connect provocative choreography from across the world.

An enviable assembled cast of contemporary dancers is led by the physically poetic and critically acclaimed Paul White, for WA creator Alice Lee Holland's tiny little tragedies in the Studio Underground.

To close the 6 day festival, a free open panel discussion A Choreographer's Handbook with Jonathan Burrows, Chrissie Parrott and Sue Peacock will be held at the Heath Ledger Theatre.
