STRUT dance is thrilled to be hosting two innovative artists from New Zealand as part of its 2009 choreographic development program.Choreographer Carol Brown (UK) and performance designer Dorita Hannah (NZ) will be working with 17 dancers as well as architecture students from Curtin University to create an exciting site specific performance, Tongues of Stone, to premiere in 2011.
The three-day workshop will focus on the interactions between contemporary dance, architecture, public space and social engagement with a view to connecting Perth with the international Dancing Cities network.
Come along to hear the participants share their ideas and findings from this very special collaboration.
